Martin Bravenboer from UU helped factoring out the build environment of all our packages. This means that the source code has become more portable, and that many portability and compilability issues can now be fixed in a single location.
The Meta-Environment is an open source software project. It produces a family of components that are centered around language engineering. Example products are the ATerm library, the SDF parser generator and SGLR parser, and the Rascal DSL for source code analysis and transformation.
